Yayasan Cipta has organized Media Workshop as part of the Pre-launching Event of FP 2030 Commitment in collaboration with BKKBN and UNFPA, at Wyndham Hotel, Jakarta on Weddnesday, 27 July 2022. Joining the event as the moderator for panel session, Mrs. Rita Widiadana, a senior journalist and a twice-recipient of the Global Media Awards for Excellence in Journalism from Washington-based Population Institute.
Panel session began with the first speaker from UNFPA representative, Mrs. Anggraini Sariastuti, with the topic of the Role of FP 2030 Global Commitment. The second speaker topic of Family Planning and Reproduction Health (FP and RH) situation in Indonesia was delivered by the Deputi of Family Planning and Reproduction Health BKKBN, Mrs. Dr. Eni Gustina, MPH. Moving forward to Q&A session, Mrs. Rita Widiadana began with a talk about Ethical Code and Empathetic Journalism in FP and RH Issue Documentary which has successfully stimulate the participants representing 12 media partners, in discussing further on how to better write and promote unpopular issues like FP and RH.
The event was concluded with a follow-up plan to engage media partners in the upcoming launching event of FP2030 commitment on Monday, 1st August 2022 and a photo session.
